BalanceLeaf for Android · Last updated 12 October 2026

In short Your records live on your phone. We run no server that holds them, and the app has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics. If you choose to back up to Google Drive, the backup goes into a hidden folder in your own Drive that only this app can open.

What the app keeps

BalanceLeaf keeps your wishlist, expenses, income, the people you share bills with, your name and your optional picture on your own phone. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you turn on one of the options below.

Google sign-in and Drive backup

If you turn on Drive backup, you sign in with your Google account. The app asks for one permission only: to read and write its own hidden app-data folder in your Google Drive. It cannot see any other file in your Drive.

The backup file is stored there under your account. You can delete it at any time from your Google Account settings. We do not receive a copy, and we do not use your Google account for anything other than signing you in to Drive.

The app’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Sharing a bill with another person

If you link with another person, a bill record is sent to them through a small relay service. Records are sealed before they leave your phone, so the relay cannot read them, and they are deleted once collected or after a short time.

A phone number or email address that you add for a person stays on your phone and in your own backup. It is never sent to the relay.
