BalanceLeaf

Terms of service

BalanceLeaf for Android · Last updated 12 October 2026

In short BalanceLeaf is a tool for keeping your own records. It is free to use, it comes as it is, and you are in charge of your data and of the numbers you enter.

Using the app

By installing or using BalanceLeaf you agree to these terms. Please use the app lawfully and for your own record keeping.

Your records are yours

Everything you enter stays on your phone, as described in the privacy policy. You are responsible for what you enter and for keeping a backup. The app can save a backup file or, if you choose, to your own Google Drive, but it is your job to keep one and to check that it works.

Not financial advice

The figures the app shows, such as money you have now, what you spent and what people owe you, are worked out from what you entered. They are a record for your own use. They are not financial, tax, legal or accounting advice, and they are not a statement from a bank.

Shared bills

The Shared part keeps a record of who paid and who owes what, as you entered it. It does not move money, and it does not create a debt or settle a dispute between people. If you link with another person, you are each responsible for the records you send and accept.

No guarantees

The app is provided as it is, without promises that it will always work, be free of mistakes, or keep your data safe on a lost, damaged or reset phone. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using the app or from losing data.

Google Drive and other services

If you use Google Drive backup, your use of Google is also covered by Google’s own terms. The app only uses the hidden app-data folder in your Drive, as described in the privacy policy.

Changes

These terms may change as the app does. If they do, the date above changes with them. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
